How the guild fire works
  1. See it in game. Install the free UpQuest addon and log in on a character in a guild. A small fire sits in the bottom left corner of your screen, under the chat box. Type /uq hearth to find it.
  2. Feed it. Quests, levels and guild chat make it grow. It sinks when the guild goes quiet, and a death turns it cold blue for ten minutes.
  3. Light it here. In Silver Chain Gäng or UpQuest? Get the Hearth Relay under the fire, extract the zip anywhere and double-click UpQuestHearthRelay.exe once. That is all: from then on it runs quietly in the background and starts by itself when you sign in to Windows. Then type /reload once in game.
  4. Wait for the welcome. The relay links by itself once a guild mate who already runs it has been online with you. There is no code to type.

Before you download: the relay keeps running in the background without a window, and starts with Windows, until you stop it. Double-click it again to see it, switch that off or stop it. Windows may ask you to confirm the first start. The relay reads the UpQuest saved file and never sends input to the game.

FAQ

What is included for free?

Every finder feature is free for levels 1–50, with no account needed. Premium adds levels 51–60 and the Legendary guides.

Is Premium a subscription?

No. Buy once and it's yours forever, with free updates. There is nothing to renew.

Does UpQuest need the internet in game?

No. The item catalog and quest data ship inside the addon, and your Premium code is checked offline. Journeys work without any other addons.

Does it work with Questie and TomTom?

Yes, and both are optional. UpQuest has its own quest data and navigation arrow. Questie can add location data; TomTom can display route waypoints.

I reinstalled. Do I need to buy again?

No. Enter your license key on the activation page again. The same key always gives the same code. Paste it with /uq import.

How do I report stutter or growing memory?

The Performance recorder is free for everyone, with no guild or Premium required. Update UpQuest, then type /reload.

  1. Open UpQuest Settings and choose Performance.
  2. Click Record 30 seconds, close Settings and play normally.
  3. When the recording finishes, reopen Performance.
  4. Click Select report (Ctrl+C), press Ctrl+C and paste it into your support request. Describe what you were doing and whether the stutter happens with UpQuest windows closed.

The report stays on your computer until you share it. It contains UpQuest timings, available memory readings and sampled frame rate; it does not copy chat or character names. Recording stops automatically. Allocation readings cover a capped number of early calls, rather than the entire recording. Timings and allocation samples can overlap, so their rows should not be added together.

WoW's add-on list shows Average CPU for the session. The recorder also shows a recent average over the last 60 ticks. Those are different time windows; the add-on list percentage is not Windows CPU usage.
